   Summary

   Fourteen year old Elaine and her younger sister Rowan had been orphans for a long time. Only one year, technically. But a lot could happen in a year. Like living in nine different placement houses.

   Elaine was starting to lose hope that anywhere would feel like home again.
   Up until they fall under the care of Lin-Manuel Miranda and his family.

   The Mirandas challenge everything that the two sisters had come to believe.

   But Elaine was not an idiot. While Rowan loosened up around them quite easily, Elaine forced herself to remember that hoping gets you hurt.

   But maybe that's not always the case?
