Summary
Scott's always been mostly by himself for his whole life. Which for now has been only 15, almost 16 years. He supposes eventually it'll be past 500 years at some point, just like his parents. However, his parents have suddenly decided to send him to a public school for appearances. Full of humans. This surely can't go wrong in any way!
Avid has only had one best friend his whole life, and doesn't see his parents much. However, with the sudden disappearance of his childhood best friend/sister, along with the mysterious injury of his worsening, he's more alone and scared than ever. Not to mention the suspicious new kid. He's not paranoid, he's pretty sure he saw fangs!
Several others, similarly alone, manage to find themselves intertwined with these two. Only time will tell how this works out.
