She wasn’t expecting the gunshot that sounded—it was so loud that Rey didn’t realize it was muffled. She screamed once, jumping and flying off of the table. She stared at the smoking gun with a long, skinny extension on the end, and she sobbed as she saw the limp body on the ground.
“Fucking idiot.”
Rey sank down onto her butt on the floor, and she was horrified to see more of him. His eyes were wide and unseeing, and he had been shot in the head. She couldn’t see it, though… Only the clues surrounding him, telling her exactly what had happened. “Why did you do that?” she asked as she wept, still shocked beyond shock.
“Because I didn’t like him,” Kylo said simply, and his minions all laughed around her. She curled into the fetal position and succumbed to the emotions that tore her apart and rearranged her mind.
