   Through the throbbing, his mind found a new memory to dig into. Yoshiki’s distant gaze, the pearly glow catching along the edge of his cheek and jaw. He couldn’t place the exact moment; he glanced at Yoshiki like this all the time. Headphones on, eyes unfocused. What was he listening to?
