Koushi grabs his arm, hand shaking as he scrawls his address on the inside of Daichi’s wrist. “That’s my college address. Write to me there. And when you come back, I’ll be waiting for you, so find me. Please.”
The smile Daichi gives him is tinged with melancholy. “You shouldn’t wait for me, Koushi. With your looks, you’ll have boys falling at your feet. Take one of them.”
Koushi shakes his head. “Please.”
“Okay.” Daichi brushes a lock of hair from Koushi’s face, squeezes his hand, and then he’s gone.

Tendou, infuriatingly, laughs. “You won’t talk about it but you wrote an album for the whole world to hear? Semi-Semi so funny.”
Semi can’t even argue, because fuck, for once Tendou is right. Their debut album, a twelve-track LP that they titled Underneath the Purple Skies, was full of heartache, old fire, lost chances. The world hailed it as emo music for the modern age. Their friends knew that every song, every single fucking lyric and line, was about Ushijima. “It’s easier to sing about than talk about.”
“I get it.” Tendou hums. “I stress bake. You write songs and go viral and get famous.”
