“My boys,” Inko gasped, interrupting. “I have to- have to find my boys- I don’t know where they are-”
She half expected the hero to send her off anyway, but instead the woman stiffened. “Two boys? How old?”
“Tenko, my nephew, he’s ten - and my baby Izuku, he- he’s only five...” Inko trailed off, staring at the taller woman with eyes rapidly filling with tears. “Do- do you know...?”
The Pro’s worried glance at the massive pile of rubble behind them answered Inko’s half-asked question in the worst way possible.

So. In completely unrelated news, the people who set up UA’s entrance exam were utterly evil.
Nowhere had Tenko ever heard of a two-fold scoring system, which tallied up points for both defeating automaton opponents and protecting other applicants from them. It was pure, evil genius. Even kids who didn’t have Quirks perfectly suited for battle could earn points by helping those around them, but not saying so ahead of time meant only those with good hearts would take that route, limiting the number of showboats who got into the school.
(Apparently the system was relatively new, only coming into use after Principal Nedzu took over management of UA. With every tidbit he heard about the sneaky little guy, Tenko decided he liked him more and more.)

Summary
When Hikari was born, her father liked to say, it only took a few moments for her bright red hair to burst into flame.
The rest of her Quirk activated after she turned three, letting her entire body shift into becoming a living fire, all the individual flickers connected by Hikari’s mind. More sparks could jump off of her and ignite, but they’d all fizzle out again when she turned it off, just leaving bits of soot or charred patches behind.
When that started happening, her mother took away Hikari’s stuffed toys, most of them bearing damage from accidental fires. Learn control, she said, and you’ll get them back.

Febuwhump Day 7 - Alternate Timeline Self
Tenko already knew, in an off-hand, vaguely instinctual, Probably Checked Once As A Kid sort of way, that his Quirk wouldn’t work on himself. The young Pro figured he probably needed to genuinely want to kill or at least seriously hurt himself for Decay to take effect, but that wasn’t the sort of thing he felt inclined to test, even on his worst days.
Thanks to his villainous self from another timeline, it becomes a moot point.
