Summary
Being a fox and having fox-like instincts was a whole new experience for Childe. He didn’t know how to handle it. He didn’t know who to turn to. He didn’t even know how to stop making these embarrassing sounds.
It was all Zhongli’s fault. Or should he say Morax or Rex Lapis?
This all started because of him. Because Childe just had to love him and accept him. He was lucky he escaped Liyue when he did. When Zhongli betrayed him was the last straw for him to stay in Liyue.
Childe was tempted. He was so tempted to give up being in the Fatui and being a Harbinger. He was so tempted to stay with Zhongli had he only asked him to.
But… instead, he was lied to and betrayed. It was too late to stop the process though. Childe was now in enemy territory with new instincts and a new form and he just couldn’t get a grip on it all. (He tried to ignore the fact that Skirk would be so disappointed in him)

Summary
This is not what he had planned. In no way whatsoever did Zhongli want this to happen. This was an invasion of privacy on so many levels. Watching Childe become this stressed every day and Zhongli couldn't say anything or do anything to relieve his worries. This was torture of the highest form. Alas, as stated before, he couldn’t do anything and that could not be helped. Not for another two weeks or so by his count and past experiences.
His instincts were only just beginning to let up after that grave injury. Azhdaha got a good hit on him when he was fighting him. It took all he had to stay neutral for the Traveler so they didn’t catch on. After they had left, he made it to the harbor as close as he dared before his instincts kicked in and he switched forms to recover.
Then Childe found him and things spiraled out of control. It all started like this…
