They were given a short sweet time to be together even if Xiao’s mask never came off for Aether. The time was cut short by the devastating news for Prince Alatus is that he is to meet the Princess of the Abyss at next Lantern Rite, but Xiao made a promise to Aether to meet him at the Rite too. What will happen next?

The Yaksha was not built to be gentle. His hands were made to wield a weapon; he was raised and trained to fight and defeat, to not flinch at the sight of blood staining his clothes. He was a warrior, tainted by his kamic debt and cursed to always kill, to eventually go mad. His body was not accustomed to being gentle.
But Aether never saw him as any of this. The traveller saw him as he was, a warrior who went through hell and crawled his way out, an adeptus who battles his own demons every day, along with following his duty as Liyue’s last remaining yaksha. This is why Xiao finds it easy to try and be gentle, to try and use his hands for more than violence.
