Summary
Yuri has kept his status as an omega hidden. When Otabek stumbles upon it, while Yuri is staying with him, it threatens to cause a rift between the two. Otabek reveals a well-kept secret of his own.
Otabek opens the door wider and steps into the hallway. He tugs Yuri’s hood up over his head and cups both sides of his neck for a moment before he stands aside.
“Safe flight, Yurochka,” Otabek says quietly.
Yuri looks at him a moment before he gathers his suitcase and descends the stairs. Otabek watches him disappear from sight. He stands in the hallway until his toes go numb with cold.

Summary
Otabek is coming to terms with what he is and what he wants out of his relationship with Yuri. Yuri is simply trying to be patient. Yuri tells his grandfather, Otabek tells his mother, and they make plans to spend the summer together.
“I’ve got to go,” Otabek tells him. Not for the first time does Yuri think it’d be all right if he missed his flight. He bites the thought back and he nods. “I’ll call you.”
“FaceTime,” Yuri says.
Otabek inclines his head and takes his face in both hands. The kiss against his mouth is sweet and chaste and not nearly what he wants; the kiss against his forehead lingers a bit longer. And then Otabek is waving at Katsuki and Viktor and walking away from him.

Summary
Otabek rents an apartment for he and Yuri to share for the summer. They have a lot to learn about one another and about being together. Mostly, they just get to be happy with one another.
Yuri can still hardly believe that they’re here together. That Otabek gave up his summer in Almaty to come to St. Petersburg with him. That this is their apartment until the end of August. He grins and curls his toes in the sheets.

Summary
After Otabek's rut, Yuri travels back to Almaty to spend his heat with him. Afterward, he meets Otabek's mother and sister, and his best friend, Maxim.
It almost doesn’t feel real. The stretched, aching bond between them tugs tight and fresh, knocking the breath out of him.
Yuri shoves his way through the people in front of them, ignoring their shouts as he elbows past. Otabek meets him with open arms, catching him as Yuri practically leaps against his chest. He knocks his jaw painfully against Otabek’s shoulder, but he ignores it, clinging and pressing in as tightly as he can. He buries his nose behind Otabek’s ear and takes his first deep inhale of his scent in over a month.
