He hadn’t been particularly hard on him last night. The elder had in fact, remained quite silent and expressionless beneath him and the younger hadn’t been bothered enough to force it out of him. He had been warm, dishevelled and rosy when Mo Ran had left him but he had been for the most part, unharmed.

Over the past year, Mo Ran has been the most fervent fan of Yuheng, a character from a popular video game. He has memorized all the scenes where Yuheng appears, he listens to his voicelines before going to sleep, and has turned his bedroom into a shrine filled with merchandise from said character.
