Rio and Agatha used to be secret lovers centuries ago. Rio turned Agatha into a vampire, so they would never have to be separated.
But then Agatha found out about what Rio did to the Maximoff twins years before meeting her. How she used them, got them both to fall in love with her. And how when she needed to disappear again, running from her enemies, got the brother killed and the sister turned against her will, in order to ‘save’ Rio.
After that, she couldn’t believe Rio’s love for her to be true, either.
They never saw each other again, until the universe brought Agatha back to Salem, to a woman who looks just like Rio, only she’s not the woman she once loved and now hates. When Rio finds out, she sets out to paint that universe with blood.

Agatha snaps and grabs the opportunity by clearing her throat, desperate to redeem herself. “Right. Rae.” She lets the name roll on her tongue. “Is it short for.. 'Rae-who-should-really-watch-her-mouth-around-adults,' that Rae?”
“No.” Rae smirks. “It’s short for.. 'Rae-the-daughter-you-gave-up-for-adoption-sixteen years-ago,' that Rae.”

Agatha Harkness has finally been freed from Wanda’s reality spell, however all her memories from before and during the spell are erased. With only her name and the help from a certain teenager she sets out to retrieve her memories.
As Agatha relives her and Rio's history, she can't help but wonder where it all went wrong, and if maybe, along the course of hundreds of years, she lost sight of what matters most.TLDR:Agatha is stuck in Wanda’s spell, its been so long that when Wanda dies and the spell breaks her memories don’t come back. Her eyes are beautiful, so blue you could get lost in them. They're gleaming, twinkling, like ships on waters so inviting, you almost jump in.
You take a moment to think but all of your thoughts dissipate as you study the sharp lines of her jaw and the slope of her nose. You're distracted by her, another phenomenon you've noticed recently, and when your eyes reach her lips you can't help but wonder if they're as soft as they look.
You have to look down when your face burns; you don't like this, you don't like that lately you've had to anticipate your face in a red flush every time you lose yourself to her in an adoration nobody else seems to notice.

It's a simple proposition: Agatha Harkness, heir to a small branch of the old but faded Salemite coven, will be handfasted for two years and two months to Rio Vidal, heir to the noble First Coven. Hopefully in that time the two will produce at least one child to be heir to both covens, and when the time has passed, they can choose to remain together or part and co-parent. If and when their child outlives them, Agatha's coven—like many before—will be absorbed into the First and the child will be the leader of the most powerful and ancient coven in the world.
Of course, thanks to her mother, Agatha has little say in the matter, but she comforts herself with knowing the handfast will be short in duration. Once she meets her intended, however, she begins to have thoughts of a more permanent nature.
