The job of a Copper is a hard one. It's even harder when you have to share an office with your very attractive coworker. Maybe they were right, and a CID relationship wasn't a good idea- or then again maybe they need to stop barging in on Chris and Shaz when they're taking a break together, and then it won't be their problem. After all, you can't expect one to go all day, every day, working alongside their rather gorgeous partner and keep interactions entirely professional all the time. That would be unreasonable.
A.k.a Some of the many times their co-workers got in the way of Chris and Shaz's affections, and one time they finally had some time to themselves.

“DI Drake she remembered her other life. Maybe that’s all we needed. To remember?”
“But Chris,” Shaz replies softly. “None of us did. If you think about it” she pushes off Ray’s desk, walks over to her own and gingerly sits down. “She heard voices, she talked about hearing paramedics, nurses, doctors, her daughter even.” For the first time since coming back into CID she feels tears threaten to prick the back of her eyes. “Do you even remember the last time you spoke to your mum?”
From his position at the whiteboard Ray sighs. “She’s right Chris.” He shoves the whiteboard back a few feet before returning to sit at his own desk. Scrubbing a hand over his face again he feels the deep numbness of his younger self in his final moments run through his veins. “I think it’s too late for us. That’s why we don’t remember.” He catches himself. “Didn’t remember.”
