Summary
After being caught kissing a woman at a party, Gwendolyn Bouchard is cast out of the comfortable and lavish life she has always known. Terrified and disoriented, she's soon found by Alice Dyer, who makes her an offer: a roof over her head, food to eat, and a livable wage as a performer in the mysterious Cirque De Effroi. Gwen reluctantly accepts, but the circus, as any circus does, has its secrets - and what starts as a reach for a scrap of her former status turns into an unravelling of these secrets, strand by terror-woven strand. Between trapeze lessons, learning to embrace the part of herself that cost her a life of luxury, and, though she'd loathe to admit it, falling in love, Gwen suddenly finds herself with far more on her plate than she ever bargained for.

Augustus was reading out the case, and Gwen listened with rapt attention. Even if she didn't necessarily need more dirt on Lena, it was good to have up her sleeve just in case. She knew that Lena wanted nothing to do with Gwen or the O.I.A.R., but it was good to be careful. She was not about to let this slip through her hands, not when she'd worked so hard to get what she deserved.
She then heard something that made her pause. It was her own surname. What was Augustus doing reading a case about her family? What did he know?"

Jonathan Sims is a perfectly normal co-worker, thank you very much.
He does not, as much as Colin would have anyone believe, 'know things he shouldn’t', nor does he 'stare too much' or 'ask questions no one can refuse'. Quite frankly, Colin is the unstable co-worker here, and Jon would appreciate it if everyone else agreed with him.
He is most certainly not from another universe, and he most certainly didn't bleed out in his lover's arms. That's absurd.
