“They want me to get married,” Ichigo says with the sort of bewildered offense that he often wears after returning from Seireitei. Specifically, whenever he’s been handed orders from Central 46 that he deems bullshit, and which he’s going to do his damnedest to get out of.
“Did they say who they had in mind?” Kisuke asks, curious. And besides, it’s never too early to start planning how to eliminate a target, should such a thing become necessary.
“They’re trying to marry me off to Byakuya." Ichigo's face is scrunched up. Confusion or disgust—or some blend of both, ideally.
“Probably because you insist on calling him by his given name,” Kisuke says, aiming for teasing and landing a little too close to bitter, instead. It’s been years. Years. And Ichigo still predominantly calls him Getaboushi or Urahara.

Central 46 gets it into their heads that Ichigo would be easier to control if he was married off to someone in the Gotei. Kisuke would rather pull an Aizen and kill every last one of them than let that happen. Luckily, Ichigo is--more or less--of the same mind.for the prompt: devotion

Rolling his eyes, Ichigo keeps his eyes trained on the wound, re-wrapping it carefully. And if it’s a touch tighter than it needs to be then Kisuke deserves it, the bastard. How dare he show up here looking halfway to death and then just wake up cracking jokes like Ichigo wasn’t scared out of his wits. Bastard.
“The only thing you 'naturally' are, is annoying,” Ichigo says.

With this procedure, Squad 12 can finally restore those affected by Hollowfication to their original state as pure Shinigami. As per Central 46’s directive, all Visored will be required to undergo this procedure. It’s non-negotiable.”
Ichigo, who became the lieutenant of Squad 13 after his mortal body gave out under the weight of his own power, isn’t having any of Central’s bullshit.

Humans and Vampires had been at war with each other for so many millennium that no one really knew when, where, why, or how it all fucking started. And it didn't really matter anyway.
All anyone on either side cared about was power, influence, and bragging rights. Even now, when such a fragile peace had been finally obtained... for the nth time. And when Ichigo means fragile, she means like one brush and the entire glass pane of peace shatters into millions and billions of shards.
The Central 46 was the current rule of both sides and Kurosaki Ichigo was one of its (unofficial with no pay) vampire hunter. Basically, she was just a glorified trophy for all to see with a plaque that reads "look at me! One of the last members of the corrupted bureaucracy's prized vampire sympathising family, Kurosaki!"
The Kurosaki didn't even care about the politics. They just wanted to be on the side that would always win. The only reason the vampires are letting the humans continue with their win is because they've got more pressing problems, internally.
And two of those problems were the names Urahara Kisuke and Aizen Sōsuke. Soon, it's gonna become three now that Ichigo's stuck in the middle of it.
