Crimson was but a humble being, a mortal who looked upon Remnant and despaired over its destiny and trajectory. A bargain was made: one's past and memories for a gamble on possibility. A Contract signed. Power granted to challenge the Brothers Grimm, but not to overcome them. Only through the support of other beings can Crimson triumph; free will surrendered to their desires for lasting power. What survives of Crimson after the battle is done is in the hands of others...
It was through this sacrifice of agency that led to the creation of a new being: The Angel of Crimson.
Sent to Remnant to secure additional power on behalf of the false god, Angel would battle Grimm, planet the seeds of a new faith, and interact with the denizens of the planet, forever changing the planet and himself through the process.
Whether or not that will be enough to prevail the Brothers Grimm remains to be seen...
