Taako's not a fuckin’ dog trainer, though. And he’s not a dog guy. Or a lizard guy. Or a dragon guy or like, a roommate guy, even, but it’s caught on to pretty much everyone - Merle says he hates being a grandpa but has taken on the label without anyone else’s insistence, and Barry signs all the birthday and Candlenights cards with "Uncle", despite Taako’s threat that he’ll burn any paper that bears the honorific that enters his home.

Nothing in Angus' life made any sense. He could barely remember anything before the orphanage, he always felt uncomfortable, like there was something wrong with him. He left to figure out what, and when he get's to Glamour Springs he learns something which both makes everything make more sense and even more confusing.

He gingerly took the egg and cradled it in his arms. “I won't let them forget you,” The elf leaned his head against the giant dragon. “They will know how brave and amazing their parent was.” The goodbye was cut short as a black tendril drove into the ground mere inches from the two. Taako sobbed as he kissed their head and pressed his forehead against theirs before turning. “You be as safe as you can… okay?”

Summary
There are very few things that can invoke fear the way magic does. It is a powerful thing used only by monsters and demons. Though... some believe there are those who are granted magical abilities as well, born from the gods themselves. As such, these beings are given the name demigods. These stories, however don't scare Angus McDonald. There isn't much reason for him to, being a dragon himself. And, when he comes across a collection of research logs on demigods and their various abilities, he immediately finds himself enthralled with the underlying mystery contained in them. The author of these logs was looking for something, or someone. Not to mention the mystery of how Taako came to acquire them. Or why the books seem to mean so much to this wandering chef?

Summary
Angus cared about everyone on the moon base, they were good people and they were doing good work and he was proud to be along side them as they searched for the relics. Despite that though, he couldn't help but be surprised by how much he ended up getting along with Taako. He was rather intimidating and could be a little bit cruel and harsh at times, even as he'd slowly warmed up to the boy.
Still, Angus guessed it wasn't that strange. Historically silver dragons got along famously with elves. So it made sense that it felt like something with Taako clicked.
