He envisioned how the quick glances and hurried touches from back in the cold of Moscow and now in the sweet summer days in Neaple would grow. Grow into a beautiful flower, deadly with only a sniff.
Those thoughts were rotten apples from Eden. One tiny bite would doom them both, condemn them to hell, but oh if hell were shared with that man, heaven would not hold anything desirable for Andrey.

Or Andrey and Goncharov are bad at feelings but adore each other very much and get together in the end, even if it means their death.

Vowing to keep Andrey as close as possible, Goncharov hadn’t lasted a day in that commitment.
Daddano, as it had turned out, had spent far too long away from Mother Russia. Having clearly forgotten the ways of civilized men, he took to the game Goncharov attempted to play with a naive, childish-like zeal.
That is to say, upon the slightest excuse offered by an unclear command, Daddano had draped himself over Goncharov’s lap, waving a document or other in front of his face.
As far as distractions went, this one was a startlingly effective one.
The pout Daddano wore after Goncharov had thrown him off, hard, onto the tiled floor, had been almost as distracting. Thankfully, being married to Katya for—it was coming on five years now, how the time flew—made Goncharov immune to these kinds of tactics.
Daddano took the hint. He still stood far too close to Goncharov, and leaned in twice as much as was polite when speaking, clearly unfamiliar with the idea of personal space, but at least he now accepted that any seat Goncharov took was exclusively his.
