Summary
Continuation of Write to Me and Escape.
John's Lost Weekend happens with Paul in 1973.“This is going to sound daft, but do you remember Paris?”
John stared at him, dazed. It was just one weird coincidence after another. There was no way he was thinking of the same instance as him.
He put on a fake heavy accent. “Now what ‘ave I told you about mucking about in me mind!”
Paul chuckled, responding in the same heavy Liverpudlian accent. “Ay la! Not too far to wander, tight squeeze that it is!”
John rolled his eyes, thoroughly amused. His heart felt light with the knowledge that he wasn't so alone with his thoughts. Not that he'd ever admit that to Paul.

"God," Harry breathes, without meaning to, and they both look at him then -- this lazy, knowing, expression which says they're in this together, whatever it is.
"Hey," says Ringo, low, "you want to know what it was like, being a Beatle? C'mere."
OR: In 1974, during the recording of the Pussy Cats album, Harry gets a glimpse of what it was like to be one of the Fab Four. It's not quite what he expected.

Cavendish, 1974;
The stars, it seems, have aligned: the rare weekend has arisen upon which both Ringo and the McCartneys will be in London at the same time. This is lucky, because Paul has something to tell Ringo — something nobody’s sure how John would react to if he were ever to find out.
Or: they’re lesbians, Harold. Eventual John/Paul with lots of other stuff along the way.

Summary
Harry never dreamed of catching the eye of his idol. And he certainly never dreamed he could keep it for as long as 1974.
-
And the dreaminess only mounts as the middle of June sees him miles in the air, above the Atlantic. The water below is a crowd of faces, one oceanic blur. The clouds hugging the plane's wings drift with the poise of pale-faced dancers. He has never so intimately been the subject of his own work. Then again, he has never so intimately been the subject of his own idol’s desire either.

“Do what?” John finished what he was writing and looked up.

“I don’t know.”
“What does it mean?”

1974, John and Harry were working late in the studio. Though working, Harry thought, watching John take another swig of Jack straight from the bottle, probably wasn’t the right word.
