For the first time in months, Shiro finally gets the paladins back together. Ready for a long one?
Lance was having the worst day ever. He was running late, he had to skip breakfast, and then to top he was sorted into the wrong house at Hogwarts.
So it was very much turning into the worse year
While others around him were making friends and learning magic he was more concerned about making the couch in the common room more comfy, not getting beaten up by his own housemates, and how on Earth he was going to explain to his parents how he got stuck in Gryffindor.
Keith was also having one of the worst years of his life.
He thought his life was in an upswing. He had been adopted, he got into Hogwarts, and he was finally going to learn about what magic was really capable of.
Only... he forgot people are hard and annoying to deal with. He wasn’t expecting to be plagued with nightmares every night. He couldn’t tell if they were memories or a warning but it leads him to start asking questions about his birth parents.

Hunk loved babies. He always did and always will. He remembered when his niece and nephew were little and he couldn’t stop holding them and crying, trying to stuff their little cheeks full. Babies were some of the best things on Earth. Nothing could ever change the big guy’s heart about them.
On the other hand, Pidge did not like babies. Being the youngest, they didn’t get to see the joy of raising or being around babies and how cute they are. Instead, they saw babies as smelly, loud, and “a burden because they can’t do anything useful.” They didn’t understand the hype about babies and didn’t want to.
But...
Maybe just one baby had Pidge’s heart like how all babies had Hunk’s heart.

Keith was scared of love. He didn’t understand it in the slightest bit. He grew up in the system and none of his foster parents or siblings ever knew him long enough to show him any affection or even a hint of love. His mother left him when he was born and his father left him at 9 which maybe not on purpose but he did and it hurt. The only sense of love he had was when his brother, Shiro, took him in and even then it was hard to believe it even 10 years later which leads us to today. A cold winter night in which he was supposed to spend time with his now probably ex boyfriend??
His ex boyfriend who he thinks- no…he knows, he loves bc with him it was easy. His ex boyfriend who just told Keith that HE loved him. His ex boyfriend that he just ran away from because of his own selfishness. He left him sitting there in the fort he had spent probably all day making sure it was perfect just so he could tell Keith those words. And Keith ran.
But that was 6 months ago, its now June but, god, what Keith wouldn't do to go Back to December

Lance misses Keith.
Way more than he’d like to admit- not even because he’s embarrassed of missing his “rival,” but because he’s ashamed how much he’s affected.
He had stopped taking depression meds years ago, even before the Garrison, after he’d been so elated as he grew closer to achieving his dream. Too focused on being good enough to be sad.
He’d left his anxiety medication when he’d left Earth, and never looked back. He didn’t even think about it until weeks later, when the excitement had mostly settled.
And he was fine, he was fine (fine enough), until now. Keith was gone. The missions were more serious now. He took things more seriously now.
So he worried, worried, worried so much.
(Keith left for the Blades of Marmora, leaving Lance with deteriorating mental health. He hides how he’s feeling from the team. When Keith returns, he becomes Lance’s lifeline)
