Rina Konoe and Noriko Ishida are both former members of the Sentinels, a squad of former Hero candidates selected to explore into the outside world. Now, with the gods defeated and the outside world restored, the two girls are selected as the first members of a new initiative by the Taisha to explore and reclaim the outside world. They will travel across Japan, assessing the situation of the outside world and returning the power of the Shinju-sama and the gods of the earth.
