2min has become something of a comfort ship for me in the past year. There's a certain domesticity about them that goes completely unacknowledged and my favorite fics are fics where one or both of them is having an internal war over the fact that they might actually be in love and pleasantly at peace with their circumstances.
It had not been a matter of love. The promise Minho had made to Seungmin’s parents was that he would take care of him. The promise he had made to Seungmin was that he would do his best to be a person that Seungmin could get along with and cohabitate with easily. The promise he had privately made with himself was that he would try not to unnecessarily burden Seungmin—or at least, not any more than he had already. Nowhere in the vows or the contract, however, had he said anything about love or personal desire. As a result, he had pushed everything else to the side.
And yet, for months after it happened, he had dreamt of the day Seungmin had pulled him out from the pool. Water dripping from his hair, pupils quivering with fear, lips repeating a motion that Minho couldn’t hear—sorry sorry sorry—his body, leaning over Minho’s, warm and kinetic and firm under his hands. And he had looked so alive.
It was the first time that it struck Minho—the thought that his husband was a little bit beautiful.

Minho moves his hand from Chan’s leg to his arm, wraps his hand around Chan’s bicep and leans his weight against his mate's side. Chan takes him easily. It must be so hard for Chan, to sit there and admit to finding another omega attractive when they both know that, if things go according to plan, Chan will end up in bed with him. Chan will be sleeping with him for months, most likely, while he tries to put a baby in him. It’s a weird, strange situation they’re in, but he and Chan have been together for years, they trust each other explicitly, and if they’re going to do this then Minho at least wants it to be with someone that Chan likes.
“I want to meet him,” Minho says decisively. “I think he could be our surrogate, Chan-ah. What do you think?”

So so tender and sweet.
“You’ve both been so kind to me ever since we met,” Felix says, his voice shaking. “You’ve - you’ve always treated me like family even though I was a stranger, and I was- God I was coming into your home to sleep with your mate,” Felix manages. Phrased like that what they’ve been doing does sound insane, but it had always felt right to Minho, even in the beginning when he and Chan had both had their own issues with processing it, none of that weirdness had ever been because of Felix. Felix has always been perfect.
