Summary
Davey was a light sleeper, he knew this. He also knew it was a bit of an understatement. He never knew why, but for as long as he could remember, every little thing would wake him. His opinion on the matter varied, sometimes it was helpful, like the times when he slept over at the Lodging House.
Alternatively, Davey is an insomniac, and he can never stay asleep easily. This story follows the adventures that occur after the strike as the Newsies learn that Davey is hard to prank, and Jack and Davey work through his insomnia together.

Jack’s heart raced uncomfortably in his chest, seeing Race’s panicked expression as he tried to push the newsies back. Scabs and bulls alike, with weapons from bats to rusted pipes, to chains and wooden planks with nails hammered into them. He couldn’t say he wasn’t terrified at the sight, because his body was betraying him to its fullest extent. He backed up, limbs shaking as he took into account the amount of men and weapons walking through those double doors.Or, what I think Jack was thinking during the confrontation in the courtyard, and what I think might've happened after.

medda adopted jack, race, romeo, smalls, and buttonsjack, race, and smalls from fostering
buttons helped with costuming and accidentally let it slip that his family is abusive so medda took him in and held a case, won it, and adopted him
romeo had the same issue, except his parents kicked him out and medda found him and adopted him
