Folks in Eijirou's life tried their best, but they often spread themselves too thin and Oklahoma farmland took just as much as it gave. He spends most of his time trying to be everything for everyone but no matter how wide he spreads his fingers he seems to only wind up with blisters and bruises. Eijirou made peace with the back breaking work, grueling dry heat, and unpredictability that came with being at mother nature's will. But, the one thing that made the heartland truly feel like home was Katsuki Bakugo. From the moment that Eijirou's sight set on tufts of honey blonde hair, piercing red eyes, and the meanest scowl this side of Mississippi, he knew he was gone for the other boy. And, just when Eijirou allowed himself to have something, to truly believe something, no someone, would stay, Katsuki Bakugou left. So, Eijirou farms and he feels. Somewhere between spring planting and his six string, Eijirou finds himself. And, if between the memories and the music, a certain lost love makes his way back into Eijirou's life, well perhaps this is their chance to pen the words to a story that didn't end.

He loved him in the way he noticed the callus forming on Kirishima’s thumb from overpracticing. In the way he remembered to bring extra strings when they had duets, even though Kirishima never asked. In the way he showed up here, on a day when he didn’t have to be anywhere, just to see the way Kirishima looked when he was alone with his music.
He loved him in silence. In small things. In every swallowed word.
He didn’t say it, but he loved him. Every damn second. Every note.

Bakugou Katsuki was a drummer in Ground Zero, an up and coming alt-rock band that was going to change the face of rock music in Japan, even more than Plus Ultra could during their glory days.
Kirishima Eijirou was a bassist in RIOT, and was supposed to be their competition. Just another band trying to make it where Katsuki already knew he was going to be.
And yet, his lyrics notebook seemed to be littered with mentions of red hair, red eyes, and a sun-warming smile.

The lights cut, the crowd roared.
And Katsuki didn’t look away from Eijirou.

Shouto isn't sure about meeting this "Kacchan", but Izuku seems so certain that the two of them will be absolutely perfect for each other. Denying his only friends feels impossible, so instead Shouto just agrees to go along with him. He isn't used to this kind of thing, he doesn't really get out much, but he can't deny that the drummer is just as gorgeous as his friend described. Maybe Izuku has a point after all.

In order to keep the secret safe, Katsuki would have to work with the heir to Endeavor Agency, Shouto Todoroki, under his father's guidance to improve his reputation and rake in more money to afford to keep the video under wraps. He didn't expect this deal to entail a fake relationship, but to his dismay, it would only get worse from here.
The very LAST thing Katsuki expected to do was fall in love.
