Summary
"You don't talk about Abigail in this much." Benoit Blanc held up Jud's written story. "But she's the first one you look at in a room and you're the first one she moved towards."
"Abby has nothing to do with this. She's a- She's been through a lot, with her father and the Monsignor." Jud reasoned. "I don't wanna drag her into anything else."
The Detective laughed at him. "From where I'm sitting, she's in it either way."After her father's death, Abigail Calder remains tethered to a church that taught her obedience as love and suffering as devotion. Trapped between grief and expectation, she struggles to separate her faith from the man who shaped it, and from the Monsignor determined to keep her small.
The arrival of Father Jud, a priest with a violent past and an unexpected gentleness, unsettles everything. Where the church demands endurance, Jud offers breath. Where others speak in certainty, he listens. What begins as guidance becomes a quiet act of rebellion: learning to stand, to feel, and to believe that faith does not require disappearance.wake up dead man OC // jud duplenticy x reader (PLATONIC)

Summary
This is little moments from the movie where I want, ‘wow I wonder how Juds alluded to previous life impacts how he thinks and feels in these scenes. It must really suck’ and then I wrote all that down.
—————
Jud feels the fist of Monsignor Wicks collide with his stomach.
“You’re angry, you should be. It’d be dangerois if you weren’t,”
The Monsignor is speaking to him. He knows that, but it’s not just the Monsignor’s fist he feels. It’s his first fight in the ring, and it’s the fist of his father, and it’s the fist of the man he killed in the ring. It’s hard to keep straight whose fist it is because in the moment Jud’s mind remembers a hundred punches just like this one.
