At least, that’s what they think–in reality, Felix is also a hybrid but has been hiding his hybrid status from his pack, because his hybrid form never grew into an adult along with him. Everyone knows that when a hybrid’s shifted form doesn’t mature with them, it means the shifter went through something traumatic at a young age, and Felix doesn’t want everyone to know.
So he pastes on a smile, pretending to be human and be fine with his pack as it is, all the while suppressing and pushing down his hybrid instincts. When they finally overtake him and he shifts against his control, the pack must adjust and decide how to move forwards with their new reality.
