So, why was he in Seishirou-san’s apartment, the both of them alone, doing something they both knew Seishirou-san was quite capable of doing on his own?

Subaru’s hands curled more tightly around the mug. He ducked his head behind it, seeking to hide from what was barely a whisper in his own mind. It’s true, it’s true, and even though no one else would bear witness for Subaru, it’s true. That knowledge was almost as sweet as the sweet potato Mont Blanc tarts they had shared, and it lingered just as deliciously.

Seishirou gets Subaru to help him dress. In the process, Subaru discovers several things about himself, especially in relation to his Seishirou-san.

Summary
While stumbling through the seemingly infinite spans of the Forest of Endings, Subaru spots something worrying. The shivering and injured creature that he finds looks uncomfortably familiar, but he decides to save it despite his concerns. Nearly killing himself in his struggle to save what is ostensibly a ghost, Subaru ignores what he knows to be true about the dog he is so staunchly defending. Until he has no choice.
