Ichigo prayed for months without gaining anything in return for his faith and devotion. He prayed for peace in his heart, for the suicidal thoughts and all the pain in his mind to disappear from his sight, and for his mother to come back to life, or at least for him to be able to tear away the pain and weight in his heart on the worst days he was living.
He didn't pray often, not like he used to. But he still begged for some light, some comfort, some warmth to embrace him and tell him it was okay to close his eyes and rest. Forever or not. Not once was he answered, never was the pain in his heart lessened, much less did he find peace.

Said someone very much alive, who took their strings of fate in a fistfull and Karin was deermined to do the same, to untangle her brother from the twisted game he unwilingly became a pawn in, having no control over his fate. Karin was tired of her older brother souldering responsibility alone, of her father keeping them all in the dark a farce of normal human life when he himself got skeletons in the closet, blood on his hands and not a shred of guilty consciense - playing into everyone's hands.
Karin is determined to finish what they had started more than thousand years ago but on her own terms, without anyone telling her what to do predestined fate be damned.

Orihime Inoue was sick of being a weak spectator to her own fate, so she decides to use her imprisonment in Las Noches to be produtive. She comes up with a plan, not to reject the Hogyoku, but to reject Aizen out of existence using her powers and stop the Winter War before it even starts. But to get the chance to do so, she'll need the support of Aizen's Arrancar. So Orihime embarks on a quest to plan a rebellion and win the loyalty of Aizen's top soldiers... while accidentally winning some of their hearts in the process.
(Or in which, Orihime spends her time in Las Noches making allies and figuring out ways to outplay Aizen instead of twiddling her thumbs waiting for Ichigo to show up, while showing her captors that they're more than what they're forced to be. Everything changes as a result)

She has a feeling it may be the same for him. There's an unspoken line they've never crossed, Rukia knows it shouldn't be crossed; not when they lost that chance years ago. That doesn't stop either of them from struggling to not cross it, definitely when they sit down and talk for the first time in a decade.

If only it hadn't ignited sparks of memories in Ichigo, reminding him of how his first love had felt, and how pale his relationship feels now in comparison.~

Tatsuki Arisawa and her classmate Chizuru Honshō are both in love with a straight girl; Orihime Inoue.
But Tatsuki knows that Orihime won’t ever think of a woman like that, she’s in love with Tatsuki’s childhood friend Ichigo, and he’s in love with someone else.
But, it’s an inevitable end, none of her fantasies will ever come true in the first place, they’ll eventually drift away, fall apart, Tatsuki will cut contact with her, and they’ll become mere strangers with only distant memories of a shared past, and how they once called each other best friends at one point.
People change, they move on, life helps no one, it gives and takes without any remorse, and some things quickly come to an end.
