Well, at least, in semi-human form.
William hadn't returned from his practice sessions with Astir. The child had been improving in leaps and bounds lately, right after she had gotten over the overwhelming surge of magic through her tiny body. A small caw pulled her out of her head, Lenore was perched atop the cabinet. The bird was already restless.
“Yeah, yeah.” Faer grabbed a small bag from the counter, filled with clothes and a roll of gauze. Just in case. “We're going.”
The raven perched atop her shoulder, careful enough to not break skin. The darkness of the night outside was eerie. And it was perfect.

It was the start of a lazy morning in their small house. William had barely woken up beside her, groaning as he wrapped one arm to what he must've thought to be a pillow.
Then again, Faer didn't doubt he would do it even if he knew it was her anyway. She glanced back at her partner as she reached a hand to ruffle his curls.
Those lines she saw most often when he was crafting runes and spells smoothed out under her touch. That at least, never changed. It made her appreciate him more. Appreciate this more. A home, a family, something she'd never thought she would have before.
Faer was pulled out of her thoughts by clamouring outside their room.
And a child, to boot.
