"you have to pay in this way or another, in this life or the next"

Summary
He was an overworked dog. Panting and huffing with its tongue lolling out of its maw, saliva dripping.
“Why do you feel so comfortable talking back to me and not the other dickheads in his place?” His voice rumbled through his chest, low in his throat.
Randy looked up at him, shades of blue shadows dancing over his face, “I wasn’t talking back.”
“Yeah, you were. Good. That's how you should respond when people fuck with you. Otherwise, you send a message that you can be fucked with.” Benson said, raising his eyebrows, “And, Randy, you have a giant neon sign flashing above your head twenty four seven that says Fuck With Me.”
Benson and Randy have their first real conversation under slightly less pressing circumstances.

PULP- A WORK BY RANDY BRADLEY by postmortem_analysis

Summary
Randy Bradley's work PULP is an exploration of the feelings of a hostage in his own words. In this work he recalls the BURGERS BURGERS BURGERS massacre, and the following feelings pushed upon him at the death of his captor. These poems are driven by longing, and an almost reciprocated obsession. As a reviewer and writer in the Foreword states "The key feeling of this book is codependence. This word is never written, drawn, or said. Nor is it ever elaborated on— this is because in order for the author Randy Bradley to ever put his finger on the word, he would've needed to be outside of the feeling long enough to acknowledge it. There's a desperation in that. One to not be left alone. What results is the raw honest writings of a man grappling with the loss of the only other person who could shed light on this incident."

Summary
"I like scary movies," Randy shrugs, stomach flipping at the way Benson leaned on the counter in front of him, another cheap button-up uniform pulling fabric taut over biceps Randy tried not to look at— the way he grins at him, no hat to hide his eyes, glittering in interest, this new Randy new and never-before-seen.
"Oh, do ya?"
Benson looks him over from under thick eyelashes, sharp cheekbones, dark eyes sliding like a physical touch the entire way back up, considering.
“Ya don’t look the type.”

Summary
The man with hair hanging over his dark eyes and one hand covering an entire tallboy beer can is thirty two. That’s fine. Randy’s fine.
Randy Bradley meets Benson at a house party and humiliates himself a little. And maybe Benson likes that, just a little.

Summary
Benson sounds like he sort of wants to leave him at a road-side truck stop bathroom, missing child forgotten nine states away from home and Randy's still trying to catch his breath, still trying to drown the image of Benson dancing with the woman in the off-white porcelain, stomach rolling. Wishes he was anyone but himself, anywhere but here.

Summary
Not that Randy cares that Benson's twice his age or anything, but if they're gonna keep fucking, he thinks he should hold the reins, slow the horse down before it has to be taken out back and shot, put out of its misery, before he gets a heart attack and Randy's left with another body that he doesn't know what to do with.
Benson spits the bit out of his mouth, snatches the reins from his hands, and disagrees.

Summary
A year after the initial horrors of a brutal kidnapping turned life lesson, Randy was living in a small apartment, just enough resources to get by in life. By no means was he happy – but at the very least he had escaped the hell that was his mother’s house. He was medicated, sane, and quiet. And that was all Randy Bradley needed… until he showed up again.

Summary
Randy wonders if all crushes feel this bad. Dirty and wrong, just like he felt that night. His stomach turning every time he sees the older man, his heart clenching every time he pulls into the parking lot and sees Benson’s car there.
Benson is everything Randy shouldn’t want. Everything he can’t have. He’s old and jagged, dangerous in a quiet way, mean but still patient enough to give Randy clear instructions when no one else will because Randy can’t function without them—Benson, above all else, is a man.

Summary
Benson's hand slides up his thigh and he groans softly, cracking his eyes open to watch Benson kneel on the bed in front of him. There's a sharp grin on Benson's face, like a predator cornering something it caught, trying to figure out how exactly to kill it.

"Now, you're going to be good and wait. Aren't you, Randy?" Benson waits until Randy nods before continuing. "I'll jerk you off 'cause I'm feeling nice, doll. But nothin' more. Gotta keep you pretty and pure. Least until we get hitched, yeah?"
And, well. Randy'll take what he can get.

Summary
Whatever happened at the diner was pretty fucked up, to say the least, and Randy still can’t get the thought that Benson might still be alive somewhere in the back of his head. Sometimes he misses Benson a little too much.
