Summary
For one singular moment, Christopher’s face lights up in that way it always does for Buck, thrilled to see him. But Buck can do nothing to stop the way his expression changes as he takes in the shirt that clearly belongs to Eddie, his hair that is so messy it can’t be chalked up to simple bed head, and the fact that Buck is here, in his house, in the morning after a late shift. Christopher’s expression shutters closed in a way that Buck has never been on the receiving end of, and he feels his stomach drop.
(or, Christopher finds out about Buck and Eddie's relationship before they get the chance to tell him. They deal with the aftermath)

Summary
Eddie Diaz is a firefighter. He works at fire house 118 in Los Angeles, California. When he applied for this position, he didn't expect to gain an entire family. Well, it was almost an entire family, now all he needed was a romantic partner, and Eddie was pretty sure that he found just who he wanted to be that partner, he just couldn't figure out how to reach the man since they met on a call.
It turns out Eddie doesn't have to ask Maddie for her brother's phone number considering he's become the 118's newest headache. Or a headache for everyone except Eddie.
OR
Eddie is a firefighter, and Buck used to be one, but he didn't get his job back after saving that little girl with the hose. Now, Buck does odd jobs and 9-1-1 gets called a lot. Good thing the 118 always comes to the rescue.

Summary
Buck was tired after the first twelve hours of their shift. He’d been about to go down to the bunks when his phone started ringing.
The hospital was calling. But not a hospital in Los Angeles.
It was a hospital in El Paso.
Eddie was in an accident. Buck was his emergency contact.
So, of course, Buck did the most rational thing he could think of.
He dropped everything and booked a flight to El Paso, so he could take care of his best friend and his son.

Summary
“Dad! Dad! C’mon! You gotta help!” Chris shouted across the front lawn. Eddie stood stubbornly on the porch, leaning against the house with his hands buried in his pockets.
“Yeah, dad, come on!” Buck smirked as he lifted a second large snowball on top of the first.
Eddie shook his head and burrowed further into his coat that had to have been too thin for the weather. “I’m good right here.”

Summary
“I told him I’d take care of him while he’s at camp,” Buck says, falling on one of the chairs next to him. “Because you’re a black thumb and he loved this stupid plant and I ended up killing Patrick.”
Eddie walks between Buck’s legs, both knees now cradling his hips. “Buck, we both know why you offered to do this.”
Their new proximity brings heat all over Eddie’s body and he smiles as he watches goosebumps traveling down Buck’s arms. Still, Buck says, “Patrick is very important-”
“Stop calling it Patrick,” Eddie says, pushing a finger against his chest playfully. Buck’s eyes go down to the digit.
“Christopher called him Patrick.”“It’s a plant.”
“Well it is dead!” Buck says in a whine, throwing his head back dramatically. “What am I gonna do?”

Summary
Wind tugged at his hair as Evan dashed towards a new future- a hopefully brighter future. His legs pounded into the concrete floor and the further he ran the more his muscles began to ache. His racing heart mirrored the race he was competing in to flee his home. Amongst all of this though, there was a smile on his face because he was now his own man officially now and there were no restrictions left in his life.
~
When your only friend in life is the loneliness that smothers you it's no surprise you end up running away from home. This is the story of Evan Buckley in an alternate universe where he ran away from the Buckley parents if the Buckley parents treated Evan worse than what is written into the canon.

Summary
His dad had called that morning, exactly six-thirty am on a random Tuesday, called him. Called Buck like it was normal, like his contact hadn’t haunted Buck’s number like a ghost on the countless nights where he wondered what it would feel like to have parents who cared. He wished he hadn’t felt scared, hadn’t hesitated against the faint glow of his phone in the night—had the strength to turn away just like he had all those years ago.
Maybe if he had turned away everything could have gone differently—wouldn’t have raised his hackles like a stray dog when Chris—
When Chris called him Dad.

Cathartic Vulnerability of the Glass Closet by serendipitouswasteland
Fandoms: 9-1-1 (TV)

Tags
Summary
When something is cathartic, it brings about a relief of strong emotions. The concept of vulnerability being cathartic appears counter-intuitive. Vulnerability and catharsis together should be such, yet it truly embodies something far more profound. Its is the relief that comes from laying yourself bare to another human being in such an emotional way and receiving only love in return that brings about cathartic vulnerability. In this moment, that is what Buck and Eddie share as their lips intertwine and bodies press together. The closet glass that has been surrounding them for a near decade shatters with the crash, leaving them spread open in honesty and truth for the years to come.
