Finding a grimoire, he uses one of the spells, hoping it will either get Sam out of the cage or send himself into it. The spell backfires in a way Dean never expected, sending him and the Impala to San Antonio, Texas, where he meets Jared, a man who looks exactly like his brother. Jared is mourning the death of his husband, Jensen, who is the exact image of Dean. Jared and Dean spend the night together, and in the morning, Dean discovers that the spell he thought had backfired might have sent him right to the person he needed most, and that Jared just might hold the key to getting Sam out of the cage.

Rowena finishes connecting the last sigil, satisfaction filling her when they flared a soft vermilion across her arms and upper chest. She'd pinned her hair up, leaving her pale skin fully on display, and she knew the sheer black panties she wore would be torn off the moment she stepped fully into the bedroom.
It's a fairly simple spell, but it did require three people in order to be fully potent. Rowena was working on amassing more power for a spell Dean and Castiel had dug up that could help against Chuck, and both Sam and Huntercorp Sam had readily agreed when she'd explained what was necessary. She'd lost most of her magic sealing the rift to Hell, so this spell would boost what little magic remained within her enough to perform the spell with Sam's help.
Rowena cast a critical glance over herself, the glowing sigils giving her alabaster skin a glow- she touches up her eye makeup and lipstick, then turns on her heel to open the door to the bedroom.
