Seconds later he comes back in with the whole crew. The kids look as unamused as she did at first. Dick in the kitchen banging pots and pans meant something unseasoned and healthy on the other end. She was surprised he knew where to find all of the sweets for cookies.
“Ok it’s time for a Titans Holiday Cookie Off! We are going to pair into groups and come up with our best cookie concoction. We have to try each other's recipes and then vote on who has the best.” Dick practically vibrates with excitement as his idea of fun.
“Okay this isn’t fair because I’m the best cook. Vegan or otherwise.” Gar steps toward puffing his chest out a bit.
“And obviously I’m on Gar teams.” Conner clasps his hands on Gar’s shoulder with a squeeze.
“And I’m on Tim’s! Right Bestie?” Rachel elbows him softly on his side.
“Right.” Tim playfully elbows her back.
“Ok well teams are settled. Me and Kory, Gar and Conner, Tim and Rach. Perfect. Setting the timer for 45 minutes. It’ll be just like Chopped.”
