But suddenly, he felt it.
A warm, almost blinding light suddenly filling his senses. Making him hiss in pain, his level of agony rising until it slowly twisted itself into pleasure. A subconsciousness was now nestled against his own, he wasn’t sure of how long it has been there, nor of the time that passed before it came.
Days? Months? Years? Perhaps even centuries of nothingness. But he curiously nudged it, his liquid form almost buzzing with anticipation as he waited. And eventually, it nudged back. Curious and tentative, but almost playful in a way.
He nudged it again, reaching for it as he found himself wanting - yearning to know more. But the subconscious backed away, dissipating, leaving him alone once more. He found himself growing for contact, aching for it. For the subconscious to come back, for her to come back.

Halbrand finds someone he didn’t except, someone who definitely wasn’t his first thought.

As Halbrand, a blacksmith in Pelargir, he leads a simple life, free from war and intrigue, and at his side is someone who has filled the void left by his lost memories. He wants to protect his new life from the fires of the past, and she will do anything to restore his memory, even if it means burning in the flames with him. Okay I honestly think that everyone knows the pretty cliché story of a girl who usually has a very bad life landing in Middle-Earth, becomes the hero of the day by using her knowledge for good and eventually lives happily ever after with a handsome guy, whose name usually starts with "L" and ends with "egolas," right?
Well, to be completely honest with you, my life was pretty nice. I had a job, loving sisters, friends by the dozen. I really couldn't complain until an accident suddenly sends me to another world, but not Middle-Earth. No, it sends me to be reborn as an elf in Valinor. As in pre-first age Valinor with Fëanor and Morgoth and all that shit.
With everything that's on the horizon and knowing I can't stop all of it, I also know I can't wish to be the hero of the day or even to live happily ever after as that's just not possible, so I decide to aim for a slightly more realistic goal: mess up as many of Morgoth's plans as possible
