Im Jahre 1636 muss Crowley einen neuen Kutscher einstellen. Was er nicht weiß, ist, dass der junge ”Bursche”, den er für diesen Job auswählt, seine Tochter Virtue Nutter ist.

Aziraphale takes stock of his body. He aches, he always does after the Hallows, but he does not feel quite so nauseous as he has in previous years and the shivers that herald a fever have not yet begun to rattle him. “Surprisingly hale,” he says, half-disbelieving.

Crowley just experienced the Hallows for the first time and he maybe, actually, totally has a plan to free Aziraphale that won't get them both killed. Probably. It's a work in progress.

She develops a crush on Crowley, not knowing that he is a demon. Crowley falls in love with her, but he doesn't think it would be a good idea to be with a human.

Summary
Aziraphale hasn't seen Crowley since the demon saved a young woman's life in November 1827. Crowley vanished in a black hole and was seemingly dragged back to hell. Over time Aziraphale grows more worried and as the demon knocks on his door, some years later, unexpected and in the middle of the night, the angel's worst fears seemed to have been justified. Desperately Aziraphale tries to help his friend, not caring about any rules he might break. Because one thing is clear, they are breaking rules here. A lot of them.

That the last memory he’d have with his angel would be nearly shooting him in the face in front of a whole crowd of humans.
