When Darlin starts experiencing debilitating nausea, dizziness, and emotional duress seemingly out of nowhere it comes as a shock. One positive pregnancy test later, Darlin and Sam's normalcy ends. A wolf/vamp offspring is quite unheard of, even among old blood. The mates never intended on changing werewolf and vampire history with their coupling. They don’t know what to expect or how to prepare to raise a child with two drastically different magical backgrounds. When Darlin chooses to carry to term, all they know is to do what any expecting pair can do. Hope.

After his father's death, David moved to Dahlia city to branch out his dad's tattoo business: Shaw Tattoo Parlor, and to escape the memories from the original store that only remind him of his dad. Everything goes fine, until a certain flower shop opens from across the street. Asher becomes enthralled by a certain babe. One of the employees at the flower shop comes over to annoy him, and yet he might even enjoy their company.
Then trouble comes, when Milo finds a particular investigator saying that a drug cartel is working in their area. Soon strange things happen around the block, and the tattoo shop gets involved. David finds a familiar face through all the strangeness, and tries to keep the business going through all of it.
