Summary
When strange and interesting things occurred aboard DS9, Quark’s was usually a good place to sit and watch as said things occurred. As far as Elim was concerned, Dax’s zhian’tara qualified, so he suggested to Bashir that they do lunch there instead of the replimat. Bashir agreed, but would not admit to thinking the same thing that Elim was.
The assumption, of course, ended up paying off. It had been, at least according to Bashir, Odo’s turn to embody one of Dax’s past hosts - the most recent one, Curzon. Curzon in Odo’s body had evidently not been content to spend time with Dax like all the other zhian’tara participants did, because here he was, striding into Quark’s with Captain Sisko in tow.

“Shedding?” Dakota seemed even more confused, rocking back and forth on his heels as he looked up at Ashe.
“Y’know…” Ashe licked his lips again, not really wanting to talk about this with Dakota. It was awkward to say out loud. One of those things that people didn’t really like to talk about since it was a little gross. But Ashe was sure that Dakota would catch on, it was something that everyone had to go through at least a few times a year.

Casey knew who his dad was, he only had very few memories of him but he remembered how big and strong he was. Casey remembered the stories his mom use to tell him, how he was an Alligator Snapping Turtle and how he was bigger than anybody else in the resistance. A pillar among many. The only thing that wasn't explained to him was how his father's traits didn't only go to Casey personality wise but also a few genes of his own that his mother and uncles weren't prepared to deal with. Casey understood why and now he doesn't have to worry about that in this new timeline.
Oh how wrong he was.
