Gandalf had asked his most trusted companions to take part to the most dangerous quest. Thus, he managed to gather an alliance of Elves, Dwarves, Hobbits and Men to destroy the One Ring. Among those he trusted the most, is Theora of Rohan, a Shieldmaiden. Without second thought, she joins the quest. Her first task is to ride to Bree to help a Ranger against the Ringwraiths, but she is delayed.
Okay, I love Aragorn, so here is an OC and a slowburn romance. The story will follow the movie with Theora in addition to the plot. Hope you enjoy!!

Yet Héra’s eyes widened and her mouth hung open just the slightest bit. Her attention was happily fixed. Yes, the girl was one to deeply feel…yet Olwyn wasn’t surprised to see her – as fearless and precocious as could be – seeming intrigued rather than afraid at this particular story. She was a bold one, and a warrior’s spirit ran in her blood.
'And here’s what I actually like about that, as unfortunate as it can be…sometimes the people who do that are women. Women like you will be! We call them Shieldmaidens.'
She took another breath. Héra’s lagoon-green eyes were even wider. She leaned in towards Olwyn in rapt anticipation."

Olwyn told young Héra a story of the Shieldmaidens of old. The next day, the girl had run off alone (again!), but Olwyn found her before a very particular flag.

Years ago they said you were a weak child, likely to die in infancy, but of course, that was not so.” He said, eyes heavy-lidded, considering her, trying to find the truth in all the tales that were spun surrounding her.
“You know what men are like with their stories,” she retorted, turning away from the painting to a tall stone statue, a broken sword laid across its arms like a funeral shroud.

Originally, this was part of Thunder Moon, but it made sense to split them.Sarah turns eighteen and her family gives her an amazing birthday present.
We meet her Aunt Ivy, a pure blooded Valkyrie.
Upon arrival in London, they're attacked by Dark Fae.
For the first time, her Aunt sees her as a Valkyrie warrior.
Like all family, Sarah and her Aunt must make peace with the past in order for them to move forward.
Iain and Sarah's wedding's officiated by a Nornir.
During their month-long honeymoon, a good portion is spent gathering grimoires and artifacts.
Sarah also finds Quinn's mate.
Sarah's father's clan binds her and Mark in a Fae ceremony.
Sarah experiences some growing pains.
Just before the Full Moon in September, Iain and Sarah return for their wedding reception.
Sarah's forced to deal with Mark's past dumbfuckery.There's still quite a bit of sex, but there's a bit of violence. No gore-ish-ness.
