It began with silence. Then came the dark.
For the first time in memory, the peoples of the Underground thrive. Once-warring kingdoms now trade in peace. Exploration has revealed hidden realms long lost to myth, opening new paths for diplomacy and prosperity. Hope blooms where there was once only survival. Even the world Above, after centuries of struggle, dares to dream... reaching for the stars.
And they are utterly unprepared.
For beneath the joy and light, something ancient has begun to stir - something cruel, patient, and very, very hungry.
At the center of it all stands Jareth, the Goblin King, heir to a forgotten legacy and bearer of a burden no one yet understands. As unease begins to ripple through the harmony, he and those closest to him must face a growing truth: peace was never the end of the story. It was only the calm before it.
The darkness has waited for an age. Now, it rises - and the fate of two worlds will be decided.

Summary
Several years after Sarah Williams defeated the Goblin King and won back her baby half-brother, Toby, Jareth still has deep feelings for her. Acting on his love, he granted his own wish to be with her, no matter the cost. He trades his life as the Goblin King for a life with Sarah in the Aboveground. His memories of being the Goblin King are repressed and so too are Sarah's of her journey in the Labyrinth. The two of them, now happily married, have a young family of two daughters. Things are going well until Jareth remembers who he really is and Sarah comes to see that the man she married and started a family with is the very fae who she had battled all those years ago for Toby's freedom.
This a revamped and rewrittern version of my old fanfiction Down in the Underground. No need to read the old fanfiction to understand this fanfiction!

‘It was supposed to be a routine babysitting job,’ Tsugumi thought.
Tsugumi Takahashi, a 22-year-old Japanese woman who moved to New England a year ago and is known for her nickname, The Biker Babysitter, because she’s both a biker and a babysitter. One day, she gets a call from Robert and Irene Williams to look after their son, Toby, because his half-sister, Sarah, is late coming home. Soon, Sarah wishes for Toby to be taken away by Jareth, the Goblin King, who recognizes Tsugumi because she had met him in a dream that she had when she was a teenager. But Tsugumi, however, has no memory of him due to a minor concussion that she sustained from a car accident that killed her parents. Since Sarah and Toby are her responsibility, Tsugumi joins the teen on her journey through the Labyrinth to save Toby. But will they make it in time, and what will they do when Tsugumi finds herself slowly falling in love with Jareth, and he changes the ending where Tsugumi has to say the words 'You have no power over me' to him and mean it, so she, Sarah, and Toby will be sent back home when she has never read the book?

Thirteen years after her journey in the labyrinth to save Toby, Sarah (age 29) is having trouble getting her lines right for her wedding. She goes into the woods to practice, only to end up marrying a very different groom, the fae from her past, Jareth the Goblin King. Taken back to the Underground, Sarah must figure out if she should return home to her human groom or perhaps Jareth is the husband that she was meant to be with. She will also learn that Jareth's labyrinth is more than the fantastical world of magic that it seems to be.
Inspired by the Greco- Roman myth of Hades and Persephone as well as Corpse Bride.

Sarah lives in New York City with aspirations of becoming a playwright. She's drawn to a restaurant owned by Virginia Lewis and her husband Wolf. The three become fast friends, with Sarah being like an aunt to their son, telling him stories of a Labyrinth, brave friends, and a fierce Goblin King. When Virginia gets wished away after an argument with her son, the only way to recover her is by crossing through the mirrors and trekking across the land to find the Labyrinth beyond the 9 kingdoms.
