The work environment at the Armed Detective Agency and Port Mafia isn't really the most healthy. From long days with sleepless nights, coworkers who are cruel and don't tolerate you. Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya had to learn that lesson the harder way. For Dazai, Miyazawa Kenji's death at the hands of his own coworkers was the straw that broke the camel's back. For Nakahara Chuuya, he was tired of all the death and murder, tired of the bloodshed and loss, he thought being a mafioso was cool. Turns out, not so much. Both males knew that they had to get out now. Before things got worse. For Dazai Osamu, he found himself working as a kindergarten teacher and actually found something he did like. He was happy and in a loving relationship with his husband. For Nakahara Chuuya, he found hope as a paramedic. Doing the exact opposite of what he did as a Port Mafia member. He found joy not in taking lives away but saving and bringing them back to the people who nearly lost theirs. They almost lost each other during the nightmares but when they woke up every time, they were still together, wide awake, the sweet dream always theirs to have. But the more things changed, the more they stayed the same.
