Summary
Victoria puts on a dinner show for her friends in Grimstead. Those who manage to show up are...certainly there.
I first wrote this for Halloween in 2021, along with two other stories set in Grimstead, when the inspiration for stories not aligned with the central timeline struck me. But they were all unfinished, and a lot of things happened in life between then and now, including some of the notes for those stories - and this one - being ripped apart. But now I'm piecing them back together, so I thought I'd have a go and try and finish this one, since I actually kind of liked it.

Where the world is grim and the graces solemn, the hearts of darkness fill with sin all throughout the autumn — and so is born the idea behind Solemn Graces: Dark Hearts, a chapter-based anthology using the characters and setting of Grimstead to explore the darker themes of monstrousness and horribleness that can so often be revealed in the shadows of the worlds we walk through, including:
- The origins of Gallo Belgrave, and the comatose patient who became his mother, in "The Birth Of Gallo Belgrave".
- The relationship between Dorian Belgrave and Galen Belmont that ends with a kiss — or does it? — in "Galen's Painting".
- The dalliance one has when you're a witch and your enemy is a vampire, stalking a graveyard at night, in "The Night Fury".

Note: rated explicit for some chapters including scenes of gore, sexual intimacy and violence, rape, and underage masturbation, among many other things.

The Eighth Wonders start here!
