The detective then rushed to check his friend’s heartbeat and breathing as he shouted for somebody, anybody, to call an ambulance, because Sherlock did not doubt John’s judgement on medical matters and because Sherlock ran out of battery fifteen minutes ago, which had not happened in years because after two years of death and loneliness and fear Sherlock had become a maniac about not being able to reach the people he loved if he so desired, but John and him were having such a pleasant evening he didn’t want to go just yet. He just wanted a few more minutes of peace and now his best friend needed his help but he can’t do anything because John is the doctor, not me, I don’t know what to do, someone, anyone -.

While Dr. Watson was serving in Afghanistan, a bizarre and horrible disease began to appear in the Army. Years after, this disease appears again, this time in Edinburgh Scotland. Dr. Watson is called to help identify the disease, and while there, he and Holmes become embroiled in the sudden disappearance of a newly widowed gentlewoman and her children. Soon more cases of the bizarre disease begin to appear, and the pair learn about the Afghan fairy story regarding a Dancing Goat and a girl's fondest wish for revenge.

Summary
Together, John and Sherlock have quite a history, a journey, a life. The story begins post Season 4 (selective parts of it, anyway) and will move forward as they realise their desires and yearnings, as they make peace with where they have been - and where they are going.
Literal meaning: things that are desired, based on prosaic *Desiderata* by Max Ehrmann, written in 1929, encourages readers to live peacefully and honestly while staying grounded amid life's distractions. It advises maintaining dignity, avoiding bitterness, and appreciating the beauty in both the world and oneself. The poem ultimately offers a message of hope, resilience, and quiet strength.
The poem is included in its entirety is in chapter 1, with a correlating story. Subsequent chapters, grouped to tell a single story line, will incorporate a snippet of the piece.
The final chapter will include a bit of the backstory of the poem and Mr. Ehrmann's career.

John takes both of Sherlock’s long, nervous hands. “If you’re going to throw yourself headlong into burnout, then at least tell me what you’ve been doing.”
Sherlock takes to investigating the spider with a little too much fervor, and ends up with a fever of his own making.

The story starts where the movie ended. Maria and Robin are growing in their friendship. Maria discovers her responsibilities as the moon princess will be challenging, while Robin has to prepare to be the future leader of the De Noir clan; with each passing day, his responsibilities are growing. Even though Maria returned the pearls to the sea, it seemed as if something was missing. Something also seems off about the forest, it looks okay from afar, but the closer you come to it, the more you realize that something feels unnatural.
I do not own any of the characters in the book or movie. Examples of the characters I do not own would be Maria, Robin, Loveday, etc.

Summary

Joanne Watson is one of the best admirals under Captain Lestrade. When she has to arrest Sherlock (again), the pirate makes an offer she simply can't refuse.
Cue two opposite sides being forced to work together to find a long-lost jewel before one of the nation's most wanted thieves gets it. Surely, it's just a temporary situation. Or is it?
