Summary
Problems always start out small. This also applies in Bilbo's case.
It all started with a single light in the dark of the night. If Bilbo had known it would end in such a big mess, he would have turned around and not spend another glance on it. But, unfortunately, our ignorant hobbit followed the light, completely unaware of the consequences that it would bring and eventually change his whole life.
OR
After Rivendell, Bilbo wanders off and gets turned into a Dwarf. Chaos ensues.

Summary

When rumours circulate that the Prince Consort of Erebor is spending an excessive amount of time with the Miner Bofur, the suggestions of an affair take on a life of their own. Reaching the ears of the King, a humiliated and jealous Thorin confronts his husband in Council and a misunderstanding morphs into something catastrophic. But neither partner realises the true price of what they have done...
