People shredded in their house with no forced entry. Police are calling it an animal attack but the Winchesters know better. They go to the local town and try and sort things out and hunt the monster, but when one of them gets taken they realize there are bigger things going on.
Rly laid back fic, no certain set time period between seasons, but some plot points are mentioned.

Several metres away, Virgil’s Exo was motionless, one claw grasping and the other bracing an unstable section of ceiling which sagged precariously above Alan. The mechanical suit, with an unconscious Scott slumped inside of it, was the only thing keeping the overhead, concrete slab from crushing their baby brother.
