Dream took everything from him.
His castle, his magic, his power, and now, as chance would have it, his luck.
The scream that leaves him is like nothing he's ever heard before, the pain unbearable and unending. The metal teeth of the bear trap dig into his leg and he isn't sure how much longer he can take it. He needs to get out, to keep moving, lest Dream find him in such a pitiful state.
A savior comes out of the forest, although most would be frightened of him. Nightmare recognizes him. Of course he does. The glowing one eye brings him more comfort than he ever thought possible. He can only hope that he isn't freed from the jaws of the bear trap only to be put back in the maw of Dream and his newfound power.
