"You know, milady, you were my first real friend." Chat said, a nonchalant mask adorned to hide any feelings he may have had for the sentiment.
Marinette finally turned to face him. So many things went through her mind; I had no idea, I'm sorry, why me. "Were," she echoed quietly. "Why past tense?"
