Summary
So, watching Steve was not exactly a new experience to Robin. She’d watched him all throughout High School, and then through their summer working at Scoops Ahoy, and all through their friendship. It would perhaps be a little alarming to other people how much time she had spent just observing him, but not to Steve.
He had rather quickly clued into Robin’s penchant for watching whilst working with her, and he had never really said anything about it. Just accepted it as something that she did. Maybe his gaggle of children friends and myriad of monster-fighting experiences meant that he didn’t really care about her weird quirks anymore.
Maybe he never would have.Or, Robin has realised that Steve is acting strange and is determined to get to the bottom of it. But maybe this is something much bigger than she anticipated, something that she can't fix.

Summary
Tim Drake was once Batman's Shadow, hand-selected for the mantle by his predecessor, Damian Wayne. He had everything - a city that he could finally help, two big brothers who loved him, a place in the world. He was ready to die for that city, that family, if that's what it took to keep them safe.
He did. Die for them, that is.
He killed, too.
Even after dying, even after killing, Tim's pretty damn sure he'd do it over again. That in mind, it should be easy to keep away from his family for the same reasons. Or, well, that's what he thinks. The little Shade that took to following him around makes that a bit more difficult. The Bats not knowing how to leave well enough alone makes it a lot more difficult.
This seems like an issue that can be solved by ignoring it and fleeing when necessary. Tim's sure it'll work itself out.

He walked over to take a look at the picture himself.
Sure enough, staring back at him proudly from the grainy Polaroid that had clearly been scanned in at some point over the years, stood a very baby-faced, teenage Jack Abbot wrapped up in the very same leather jacket he was wearing now (less a couple of badges), arms crossed over his chest, gesturing idly to the car that had been trashed behind him, with the air of an artist standing beside his work.
“In fact, I’m pretty proud of that one,” he remarked.
OR: It's halloween, a costume-mandate has been issued from the powers that be, and Jack Abbot has been punk rock all his life.
