She doesn’t pull away from his grip, it’s surely loose enough to allow as such, but she stays glued in place as he watches her like a predator playing with its prey.
“Don’t just sit there,” she says, louder, more hoarsely, her eyes narrowing. “Say something. Say something to defend yourself!” She yells, his grip tightening ever so slightly with every word.
“I’ve waited eons to tear you apart and take back what’s mine.” He whispers, a stark contrast to her loud, hoarse cries. “I am a patient beast. I can wait another.” He smiles as he says it, his teeth peaking out between his lips as he lets his hand fall away from her throat. Despite her breathing being rather unaffected by his grip, she can’t help but to gasp for air as he pulls away.
