As a prince and then a king, there have been certain expectations of Arthur. A king is expected to be a leader, to be experienced, both on the battlefield and in the bedroom. As Arthur has grown from a prince into a king, he has done what his knights, his soldiers, even the other nobles expect of him. But he has never truly enjoyed it.
When Arthur lets it slip to Merlin that he doesn’t actually believe most sexual acts to be enjoyable, Merlin takes it upon himself to prove Arthur wrong.
