Summary
After the event of the seventh Lostbelt, The Storm Border finally got back in Novum Chaldea as they celebrate their hard-won battle. Fujimaru Ritsuka requested a few days of rest out of exhaustion. Director Goredolf and Da Vinci agree wholeheartedly as they grant it. Unfortunately, an unstable grail was located in an odd parallel world. Planning to investigate it, Chaldea once again hesitantly decides to send the Last Master of Humanity. With no other choice, Ritsuka agrees to be sent there hoping to solve it quickly. In the midst of their preparation, a strange energy was felt in the command room before a rift suddenly opened behind him as he was pulled in. Not one servant was able to travel with him as he was taken to the unknown world all alone.
With nothing but his wits and the "gifts" of his servants. Ritsuka will have to investigate and solve this unknown world if he ever wants to return to Chaldea again.

Summary
Within the swirling expanse of Akasha, The Root, someone saw a soul.
Who was this someone? No one knows. A God, perhaps? Or maybe the primordial that created the universe?
Who or what this being is doesn't matter, as no one will ever hear from him.
The soul this being spotted was an interesting one, the being could tell just by looking. But as the being delved deeper into the soul's destiny, he found something interesting. This soul would have two lives, it would live once, die, get reincarnated into another world, and live again.
In this soul's first life, its fate was to become a prevented shut-in, eventually getting chased from his parents' house by his siblings on the day of his parents' funeral, which he didn't even bother to attend. He was fated to be hit by a truck and "die."
In his second life, however, things would get interesting. He would become a prodigy mage, live a good life, have three wives, and die a peaceful death.
This being was bored, it wished to change this soul's fate, so he would have an exciting show to watch. It did just that. It flung the soul into the world of Type-Moon.
