That night Luz stood behind the bar. She’d ironed her white blouse and black trousers and put on her black earrings. She even used some hair products and make up. You never know who might show up. The manager, a celebrity…certain guests.
So here she was, fidgety cleaning some glasses, her eyes constantly shifting between the guests and the entrance. Always good to – oh. There she was. Amity Blight. Hair lose. Dark purple dess with denim jacket. Necklace sparkling by the warm lights.
Oh, she was coming over!
CRACK! Luz flinched as the glass slipped from her fingers and shattered.
Smooth, Noceda. Real smooth.

Summary
I had gotten to spend the whole day with my ever oblivious crush. But because I spent the entire day with Luz, my judgement was completely blindsided. And why or how I let that happen, I had no idea. It was so unlike me. I didn’t even understand what I was feeling, it was definitely something new though, and that worried me, but also felt really good.
